Repair Shop Assistant (RSA)

Overview

Thorp Plumstead, a proud member of the Thorp Motor Group, currently has a vacancy for RSA / Apprentice in the workshop. The specs of the position are as follows: –

Duties / Responsibilities:

• Completion of all new vehicle PDI’s & servicing for the branch as per the relevant OEM requirements
• Written documentation of his / her own servicing and repair work corresponding to papers provided (Job card), according to current workshop rule regulations and standard SOP’s
• Observance of administrative processes and according to company standards.
• Ensuring the working environment is clean and safe.
• Ensuring all basic hand tools is available and working order.
• Participation in measures / programmes to improve skills
• Requesting necessary materials (parts, tools etc.) in time to perform duties according to standards.
• Continuous improvement of product skills and technical ability.
• Co-ordination of his/ her own work with service advisors and part sales.
• Report any defective tools and or equipment as well as any practice by others that will detract from performing duties to standard. This will include reporting of any additional work to customer vehicles as identified during repair / service process.

Qualification

• Matric
• Relevant NQF qualification
• Minimum 3 years’ experience
• Drivers license
